Emergency Tips
Pets often don't show pain the way people do. Sometimes a serious condition will develop and all that is noticeable is a little odd behavior. If your pet starts acting strangely it generally means there is something wrong. Watch your pet closely and record any specific symptoms you observe. If you have any doubts about your pet's condition call us for advice.
Never give your pet any medications except on the advice of your veterinarian! When a pet acts sick or is injured, it's natural for us to want to make him or her feel better, but please remember that many of the medications that are commonly found around the house are designed for humans and may actually be harmful if they are given to a pet.
Remember, pets in pain may be frantic and confused. The calmer you are in dealing with an emergency, the more likely your pet will remain calm.
